We are all aware of how lighting is integral to our existence. It is one element we take for granted because it’s always there. It is, however, fundamental to our existence.
Over the past 20 years, lighting has gained respect. It is now seen as a technical product, requiring specialists to design and supply better solutions to complement texture, form and colour. We constantly challenge what is achievable and push boundaries to reproduce, improve and enhance our living environments.
Lighting is an art beyond the realms of Interior Designers, Architects or Consulting Engineers. This is evident in some designs with 6, 9, and 12 products in a room without thought about how or where light should be.
It all starts with you, an idea or concept, whether it be a New House, Super Yacht, Landscaped Garden, New Office, Iconic Façade, Recording Studio or Polo Club.
Your initial contact stimulates our passion for design once we have received the initial enquiry and a rough idea of your requirements and provided a fee proposal. Nothing is hidden, no surprises, just a fixed price, so you know exactly how much the service will cost.
If commissioned, we hold a brief design meeting over video link or face-to-face, depending on your location. We establish what you like, how the space will be used, and by whom.
The process of lighting design is now underway. This initial process doesn’t fit with the client’s ideas, but this doesn’t matter as these are ideas, concepts and innovative, dynamic thoughts.
Many of our clients cannot imagine what the dots on a piece of paper will look like when installed. We use the latest lighting design software to export the clients’ digital plans and create three-dimensional images, leaving nothing to the imagination.

Project Kick Start Meeting
Innovative designs need to start with ideas; therefore, our team will discuss your plans and ideas gathered from your initial brief. The aim is to encourage spontaneous ideas and thoughts to provide exciting lighting proposals synonymous with your project.

Detailed Concept and schematic designs
Designed using Autocad exported into Relux (lighting design software), the designs are planned to provide lighting levels and three-dimensional concepts. These are then issued and discussed in depth with the clients.
Once agreed upon, a detailed costing file is produced to retain budgets. Where clients want more of a wow factor, additional costs are provided for each idea for consideration.
Issue for construction
Working closely with the construction teams, including carpenters, plasterers, electrical installers and site management, we produce detailed technical information to ensure nothing is missed or overlooked.
This process prevents duplication or revisiting the installation process, saving time and money and keeping the build on plan.
Commissioning
Using our team of engineers, we attend the site and guide the programming team through the design incentives to ensure the controls deliver what the clients require when operating the project.
Installation
Your nominated electrical installation team carries out installation, and we are on hand to assist with all technical requirements as and when required. In some cases, the electricians try to change the specifications of the selected products to make additional margins from the supply. In most cases, products offered will be inferior to those selected by ourselves, leading to problems and reliability issues going forward.
Requirements
OEM manuals are prepared and produced for inclusion to the project manager, enabling clear and concise information for warranty claims or replacement components as required.
