Flairlight Designs Ltd were commissioned by Redrow Homes to provide a stunning lighting design using 100% LED lighting products, for its prestigious project at Connaught Place, Marble Arch, London. These Grade II Listed buildings overlook Hyde Park and are in a Conservation Area. “Our brief was to utilise the very latest LED lighting products, ensuring that all products are the same correlated colour temperature (CCT)” said Mike Eddowes Design Director.

All products were DALI controlled via a KNX control system. Colour consistency was achieved using Flairlight’s 10042.10 High output LED downlight with a white inner baffle. The 16th bin colour selection process ensured that all down lights form the 1st to the last matched exactly and no colour shift was evident. Smooth seamless silent dimming was achieved using Harvard DALI LED drivers. Some 1,000 metres of high output 3000k 12v & 24v LED architectural strip lighting was installed with a purpose made housing containing a special white frosted diffuser which meant that none of the LEDs were visible, just clean clear solid lines of illumination.

Every product on the project was selected for efficacy and colour rendering meeting the requirements of CRI>90, this provided Redrow Homes and it’s design team with the perfect end result.
